Reading this book and I think it’s a great style for learning. If the other books in the Head First series are like this, I shall definitely be buying more. Top work.

Learning Mandarin
I’m trying to learn Mandarin Chinese at the moment, well it’s been on and off for a few months. Always wanted to years ago, and now I have no better time to learn now I travel 4hrs a day to work! So I just wanted to mention 2 good resources I use:
One is Rocket Chinese which is a set of audio lessons which covers pretty much all the basics. I’ve put on my iPhone and can listen to anywhere, over and over. Really highly recommend this, although the English guy sounds pretty patronising, but you get over it. Apparently you can aquire this free…
Second is a website I go on occasionally, which isn’t too ugly like most the others www.chinese-course.com - teaches you how to write in Chinese as well as giving audio clips and gives you mini tests. Nice and easy to use.
Maybe you have a recommendation for a resource?
Lovely smooth simplistic twitter site, although perhaps mostly pointless. Would be interesting to see when a big event happens, ie. MJ or terrorist attack.
